Using Discord to Log In to Sonority

You can use your Discord account to sign up and log in to Sonority on the web.

Where you can use Discord login

Sign up with Discord

  1. Open Sonority in your browser.

  2. On the login screen, choose Continue with Discord.

  3. A Discord window opens:

    • Select the Discord account you want to use.

    • Review the permissions and click Authorize.

  4. You’ll be sent back to Sonority and signed in.

When you sign up this way, Sonority creates your account using your Discord email, display name, and avatar.

Log in with Discord (existing users)

If you already have a Sonority account and your Discord email matches that account:

  1. On the login screen, click Continue with Discord.

  2. Authorize Sonority in Discord if asked.

  3. You’ll be logged into your existing Sonority account.

Your instruments, collections, and settings stay the same. Different login options (email, Google, Discord) can all point to the same account when they share the same email.

How your profile syncs with Discord

When you sign up or log in with Discord, Sonority:

  • Reads your display name

  • Reads your avatar image

  • Stores a Discord ID internally

Your Sonority profile uses these details. If you later change your Discord avatar or display name, Sonority updates them the next time you log in with Discord.

Using multiple login methods

Sonority supports:

  • Email and password

  • Google

  • Discord

To avoid duplicate accounts:

  • If you use the same email address across providers, Sonority keeps you on a single account, regardless of whether you choose email, Google, or Discord to sign in.

  • If you use different emails for each provider, you may end up with separate accounts.

If you think you’ve ended up with two accounts and want them merged, contact support.

Troubleshooting

I clicked “Continue with Discord” and got an error

  • Make sure you’re logged into the correct Discord account.

  • Try again in a private/incognito browser window.

  • If it still fails, take a screenshot and contact support.

I logged in with Discord and my instruments are missing

  • Check which email your Discord account uses.

  • If that email is different from the one you originally used for Sonority, you might have created a second account.

  • Contact support if you need help reviewing or merging accounts.

I don’t want to use Discord anymore

  • You can still use email or Google to log in, as long as they’re set up on the same email address as your Sonority account.

Privacy

When you connect Discord, Sonority receives:

  • Your email address

  • Your display name

  • Your avatar image

  • Your Discord ID

Sonority does not get access to your messages, servers, or audio content.
You can remove access at any time from your Discord Authorized Apps settings.
