Short Answer
As a maker, create your maker account, complete your workshop profile, list yourself in the Maker Directory, then choose SHOP or FACTORY depending on whether you operate as a workshop/store or a manufacturer.
Long Answer
If you build, repair, sell, or rent instruments, Sonority gives you a structured way to reach musicians and manage your side of the instrument lifecycle. Start by signing up and indicating that you are a maker, then create your workshop profile with name, location, services, contact details, and opening hours. This profile forms the basis of how musicians find you via Sonority’s location‑based search.
You can then add your workshop to the Maker Directory under one or more categories such as manufacturer, luthier, retail shop, repair shop, rental/backline, or parts supplier. The Free Workshop Tier lets you list unlimited services or branches so you can fully describe what you do without worrying about listing limits. Musicians can discover you through location‑based search, and over time, ratings and reviews help surface trusted providers.
If you want additional visibility, Sonority offers promotional options including featured listings, promoted posts, and sponsored search placements. These tools are designed to help you reach more of the right players when they are actively looking for services or gear. For day‑to‑day operations, makers typically choose between the SHOP and FACTORY tiers. SHOP is suited to luthiers, retailers, repairers, and rental/backline providers and includes one‑click Reverb listing (where enabled), bulk operations, and unlimited AI queries. FACTORY is tailored to manufacturers and adds official serial number verification and registration workflows on top of bulk tools.
