Short Answer
To get started with Sonority as a musician, install the app, create an account, add your instruments, set maintenance timelines, and then group your gear into shows or tours as needed.

Long Answer
First, download and install the Sonority mobile app; the native Android app is live today, with iOS planned. Create your account using your email and verify it so you can receive beta updates and notifications about new builds. After signing in, you’ll see your inventory dashboard, which will be empty until you add your first instruments.

Adding instruments can be done manually or via smarter entry workflows. For manual entry, you type in details like brand, model, year, purchase price, and attach photos. Where supported, you can start from a serial or model number so Sonority can auto‑populate known specs from its growing instrument database. It is a good idea to record weight, dimensions, case type, and location so you have everything needed for flights, freight, and insurance.

Once your gear is in the system, set up maintenance timelines by logging the last string change, setup, and any servicing, along with notes about issues. Sonority can then highlight which instruments are due for attention and send pre‑tour maintenance alerts so your main live instruments are ready before travel. When you are preparing for a show or tour, group instruments into collections (such as a specific run of dates), attach flight cases and locations, and generate documentation for venues or production. Within your plan’s limits, you can also use the built‑in AI to research instruments and get valuation guidance to better understand your collection.
